It started in 2006, when our founder and CEO, Gael Rouvroy, turned two dozen chips into one — creating the world’s first single-chip JPEG 2000 decoder. The first international compression standard specifically designed for low complexity, low power, ultra-low latency, and high-integrity image, video, and sensor data!

Building on this innovation intoPIX also delivers complete SMPTE ST 2110 and IPMX‑compatible solutions across hardware, SDKs, and software platforms. Our technologies enable ultra-low-latency, efficient IP video ecosystems — from SoC‑based devices at the edge to COTS servers and cloud infrastructures.
